Please note the turnaround time for each toy is 3-4 weeks.

New in April!

April has been a busy month for Squiggle and Bean. At the time of writing, I have made 23 toys this month, with two more in progress and time to get a couple extra made as well (I've also worked and read 10 books, I need a rest!)

In amongst those 23 toys I have added some new teddies to the range:

These six new toys are gorgeous aren't they?! Let me introduce you to them. First up we have Sophie the Sloth, who appeared in a blog post last week:

Goodness I love sloths, and her face is so cute!
Next up we have Beth the Bear:
I have made her in quite a dark brown but I think it looks brilliant. This is the second teddy bear we have in the range but the more the merrier! I imagine more styles of this classic, timeless toy will feature over the next few months/years. Would you want to see them in "bear" colours, or every colour of the rainbow?
Here we have Dennis the Donkey!
My Mum said to me recently that my shop needed a donkey, and you know what, she was right! Isn't this toy brilliant?! Fun, bit quirky, just awesome!
The patterns for these three toys are by Sparrow Dreamer. I have a few more patterns written by them that I am yet to make, including a fox and deer, so watch this space.
Now I would like to introduce you to our newest dinosaur: Sonny the Stegosaurus
This shade of blue is one of my favourites, it is beautiful. Sonny is one of our larger toys, sitting at 18cm tall. I often think I should make more toys at this size, but as ever, we will see!

This pattern is designed by the really talented Sweet Oddity Art. They are also the designer of our Pickles the Pup toy and Grace the Greyhound. I have several more patterns by them that I can't wait to make, including a new badger pattern.

The last two toys introduced this month are made from patterns by Theresa's Crochet Shop. A large portion of the Squiggle and Bean range are made from patterns written by them. Simple and easy to follow, I love them (and have a small addition to buying the patterns!)

These two are pretty different toys! Aside from the designer, the only thing they have in common are the eyebrows. Adding facial features to toys brings them to life and gives them character. Bertie the Beluga Whale definitely has character:

Look at his face! He has a big cheeky smile too. I enjoyed looking at pictures of beluga whales, they all look like they are just loving life!

Finally, our last gorgeous new toy is Dash the Dragon.

I have to say, this red is the hardest colour to photograph well! I am by no means a photographer - all pics snapped on my iPhone - and this colour defeats me. But it works so well for this toy. A bright red dragon, perfect!

So which is your favourite from these new cuties? You won't be surprised to hear I love the sloth, but there is something gentle and melancholy about the stegosaurus that I think is gorgeous.
